More about this scene
In this village, just off the Knaresborough to York road, stands the ancient church of St John the Baptist, a thousand years old. The shop on the left, built in 1914, closed in 1977, and is now a thriving post office. The Crown Inn had its own brewery, but it closed in 1990 and is now a private house. Some of the vats are still kept in the yard.
