More about this scene
Boots and International Stores had both been long-term tenants of this corner, but in 1976 Boots moved away, and the Leeds Permanent Building Society, followed by the Halifax, moved in. Coleman's, the stationer's, took over in 2001. International Stores became a butcher's shop in the 1970s, and by 1983 the site was Savory & Moore, the chemists. It is now a Savers shop.
