Harrow On The Hill, High Street c.1960

More about this scene
This view looks across to St Mary's parish church. The High Street, with its attractive mix of buildings, does conceal some of its many charms. The buildings to the immediate left house the remains of a range of timber-framed cottages; their end frame has been exposed to view within the former building contractor's offices. Externally in forty years the view has hardly changed at all.
