More about this scene
This stylish Burton's tailoring shop was built in 1932; it replaced many small shops along Old Market and Princess Street. Originally, the upper floors contained a billiard hall and a skating rink. Later, the top floor became the Empress Ballroom. These days, the building houses McDonald's fast food restaurant, who gave the site a much-needed facelift.
