More about this scene
This charming 12th- century church is dedicated to St Lawrence. The chancel and south chapel date from the 14th century and the exceptionally tall tower was built about a century later. The church was restored in the 1860s and boasts wall paintings on the north wall of the nave. There are springs in the churchyard, and the church became a place of pilgrimage when it was thought the water had healing properties.
