More about this scene

Melbury House, the home of Lord Ilchester, was built in the 15th and 16th centuries, and was substantially enlarged in the 17th century. During the last century it has attracted tourists as much for its parkland as the house itself; many come to see the magnificent oak tree named Billy Wilkins by local people.
