More about this scene
Cuckfield Park was built by Henry Bower, a wealthy ironmaster, who died in 1588 and was buried in Holy Trinity church. The house is not open to the public. The avenue of trees was damaged during the 1987 storm, and specimens were duly replaced. Cuckfield Park is still a landmark from the A272, the road that leads to the village of Bolney.
