More about this scene

Designed by the well-known Cheltenham architect J N Papworth, the Montpellier Colonnade and Rotunda dominate Montpellier Street. Many of the other buildings adjoining this old spa are also the work of the former architect to the King of Wurttemburg. The Rotunda was built in 1825, behind the existing Montpellier pump room.

My Time As A Day Student At Nrw Court And Chetltenham
We were transferred to England in 1953. My father who was in the Air Force at the time hadrented a house on ( I think lansdown circle ) did remember the name ," bleak house " and it was too. Miss Crtichley. Rotunda
The Rotunda school was in Montpellier, around the corner from this photo and eventually took boys as well as girls, which accounts for me being there between (about) 1952 until 1956. Miss Critchley was a wonderful headmistress and human being. Some of my contemporaries were Hilary Brooks and her friend Valerie. Richard Ham (farmer's son from Brockworh). However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
