Mention Catterick to most people and they will immediately think of the great army garrison, which is actually situated four miles from the town itself. The camp was recommended by Lord Baden Powell in 1911, and since then, thousands of soldiers, like these seen on marching drill at Kemmel Lines, have passed through.
