Bradford, Forster Square 1903

More about this scene
The square was named after the Bradford MP W E Forster, who sponsored the compulsory education act of 1870. It was thanks to people like Forster that Bradford was the first to have school medical services, school meals, a school board, school baths and nursery provision. Lurking behind the post office is the parish church, which became a cathedral in 1919.
