Here we see Bondgate with its famous slope of cobbles. The buildings on the right are mainly late 18th- and early 19th-century. Just coming into the picture at left is the local branch of Lloyds, built around 1910 to the designs of local architect George Reavell. Beyond Lloyds is Barclays, which incorporates an 18th-century house.
