Those were the days - when Mr Kent was the head master, together with his band of loyal teachers. I remember the front and rear playgrounds - the sweet shop on the corner - the hot stoves in the classrooms in the winter and the not-so-hot toilets out the back of the building. I visited the site in 1979 - all boarded up, and I thought of all those memories held captive inside.
I too was a pupil at this School and remember the corner sweet shop & stoves in the class rooms, I think my teacher was MRs Mcrill, I then went on to the Junior School in Osborne Road, the Headmaster was Mr Bellamy,
I then went on to good old Raggy Road and finished in 4BY, I also used to have a friend who lived down Somerset Place as I lived in Wellington Street which backed on th the Co Op DAIRY with its horse drawn carts
