More about this scene
The site of the church is where Dittisham was first settled - by a Saxon called Dida in AD 765. St George's has been here since about 1180, and was rebuilt in the early 14th century. The north aisle has stained glass by Augustus Pugin, who designed the decoration of the Houses of Parliament.
