My Mother was born in Pewsey in early 1900 - my Grandfather fell off a ladder when mending his roof and broke his back and died. I visited Pewsey as a boy. Names n my mind Hector Ward -Solicitor / the Siney Family/
I am Pewsey born and bred and what a joy it is to discover a site where memories of our country's unique village life can be shared and stored for the future. So much to share about Pewsey life... I remember playing with all the children of many ages in Swan Meadow in the 80's. Looking for 'treasure' to sell in the stream at Kings Corner and charging passers-by 2p for a broken piece of china! I used to live at no 1 as a child from 1942 till 1950. My name was Coles and my father Bill was in the army (RAMC). No 1 was at the far end in this photo. I was amazed to find a picture of Raffin Lane. I loved Pewsey and have many many happy memories. We left to move around with Dad who served till 1965. Happy days.
