More about this scene

This building is dated 1790, and is a little distance from the church. The church is near the intersection of Well Street and Church Street, and the vicarage lies beyond. The apparent planned layout of the streets in Langham has been attributed to the monks of Westminster Abbey, who owned the village. There is now a modern vicarage elsewhere in the village.
