More about this scene
The needle-thin 15th-century spire of St Mary's parish church at Hemingborough seems disproportionate to its low, 13th-century central tower. The church, which shows a mixture of medieval styles from Early English to Perpendicular, was formerly collegiate, and is mainly built in white Tadcaster stone.
