Gweek, The River Helford 1904

More about this scene
Gweek lies at the very head of the Helford River. The river is tidal, and although there is nothing but mud here at low tide, it was navigable by small coasters well into the 20th century. Here we see imported timber in a yard on the left. Coal was another import to Gweek.
