More about this scene

Ferrybridge was a rendezvous point for the gentry travelling up the Great North Road. Ferrybridge had Yorkshire's largest pottery, which was founded in 1792 and was part-owned by Ralph Wedgwood. The power station that dominates the town was established in 1927. The bulk of the station was demolished in 1968 and rebuilt with massive cooling towers.
