Not so much as a memory as a search. My family came from Cossington & Chilton Polden. My ggrandfather George Diment was a master blacksmith in Cossington. He made an iron band to repair the great tree outside the Church in Cossington. The tree is shown still standing in 1955 on one of the photos of Cossinton on this site. My great Aunt Harriet 1892-1981 was employed as a nanny to the Whiteleys in Cossington in 1913. I inherited some of the post cards she sent home to the family. The Whitelys lived in a substantial house and had 3 children. The younger daughter was very ill and died during her employment.
