More about this scene
There are several major changes in this picture compared with No 32780. We are looking along Guild Hall Street towards what was previously called the Town Hall. The street has now been tarmaced and early motor vehicles have appeared. Additionally, two of the three shops on the left have now gained self-supporting roller blinds, whilst the furthest away still rests on its stilts. Driving was not the stress that it is today - it is crucial that the owner of the open-topped car notices the little boy only inches behind his rear wheel!
