Brendon nestles in the valley of the East Lyn River, and to the south is the wild expanse of Brendon Common, part of the plateau of Exmoor. The moor's red deer have been hunted for centuries, a fact reflected in the names of many of the pubs in the area.

Hi i have a colour postcard of "The Valley, Brendon" it is the same as this photo, it's a used franked card dated 15th June 1945.
it has a sender address of Lana Doome Farm, Malmamead, Brendon written in pencil.
