More about this scene

This is the cross roads of Storeton Road (out towards Storeton where the famous quarries are) and Woodchurch Road. The Half Way Hotel on the right is still there today. Our photograph seems to have a good selection of transport on it, with cars, waggons and delivery lorries, scooters, motor bikes and cycles - and shanks's pony.
