I moved to Beltinge in 1948 with my parents and we lived at number 8 Churchill Avenue. At that time the avenue was a prefab estate and was a baby boomer child's heaven -,and there were plenty of us. I grew up in Beltinge when my father owned the Miramar, which was run very much like a family home. Even some of the visitors would help out when they came to stay. Now I am searching for what the gardens looked like before the landslide which was a year before my late father bought the hotel, but was allso stationed there during World War 2. Catherine
