Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Wednesday 18th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Wednesday 18th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Please Note: Our offices and factory are now closed until Thursday 2nd January when we will be pleased to deal with any queries that have arisen during the holiday period.

My aunt, Ida Fletcher, was in the WRAF in 1941. She was on leave visitng my grandmother who had a dress shop at 28 High St in Chepstow called "Cristofar" (it is now a wedding dress shop). They were having a picnic at Beachley when a woman and her son got into difficulties while paddling. My grandmother called on Ida "you can swim" and, because she was in uniform, she went into the water and pulled out the child. ...see more
The person on the right, on the pier, is myself, Ron Stokes. As I wrote in my memory previous, I worked on Beachley and Aust Piers, weekends, school holidays, until I joined the merchant navy in 1958.
