I was born just half a mile up the road at Lark House Farm. I knew the Blakes well Harry, Geordie, Davy and Meggy. Davy lives just over from our workshop at Rowley at 90 odd and still going. My dad lived in Langley Park and remember going to the place they had there when i was little. The place at Cornsay is falling to rack and ruin and my gran always said it was lovely place years ago. The Blakes moved in to a caravan and moved the pigs into the house. I remember when Davy bought a caravan as the one they lived in was a mess, so he dragged this newer caravan through cornsay village about 5.30 one morning and the wheel fell off, but he kept going and left a groove in the road and woke the whole village up. Many tales to tell of these.
