Whitby, Khyber Pass 1925

More about this scene
The thing which is most striking about these old photographs is the absence of traffic. Just you try walking up Khyber Pass in the middle of the road today. The old coastguard building has been turned into a cafe. The steps lead up to West Cliff with the flagstaff and Cook's statue.
