This view was taken from the war memorial. The cottages to the right were at this time home and shop to H Woolley, a saddler, as they had been since around 1900. The cottages date from the 16th century, and are probably of the same age as the earliest known parish register of 1596. Notice the old Whieldon's green bus parked outside.
