More about this scene
When in 1853 the population of Tenby had reached 3000, it was decided that a new cemetery and chapel should be constructed on the outskirts of the town on the Lower Windmill Field. A tender for the work amounted to £508. The chapel bell, which cost a further £33 3s, was cast in 1855 from the same batch of metal as Big Ben.
