Well, Well, Well
A Memory of Sutton.
I didn't know this site existed. I am delighted that it does.
I was at this school until it closed when I moved to Wallington Independent High School.
I was one of the naughty boys, but turned out all right in the end and had a great working life. Now retired I have an action packed time with masses of fun.
I have had a few medical hic ups along the way and have used up more than my 9 lives.
Mr Stone was my Latin teacher. He used to waft around the playground with his cape flying behind him. I hated Latin although I can still remember what he taught me. He was a great shot with a board rubber if you were talking. I got my own back on him. He used to play the organ during assembly. One morning I arrived early and swapped all the tubes around from the keys so that you could not play one correct note. This morning he played the first chord and jumped off his seat as if he had received an electric shock and burst into tears.
I would love to hear from anybody that remembers me.
Kind regards to all
Ian Murray
