More about this scene
Sutton has one great asset which makes it a cut above other Birmingham suburbs - Sutton Park, which was given to the town by Henry VIII at the behest of local benefactor Bishop John Vesey. The bishop also set up schemes for the unemployed, paved the streets, built 50 cottages, endowed a boys' grammar school and financed extensions to the church.
