Stockbridge, High Street c.1955

Hi all, In the 60's me and my parents used to visit Stockbridge 2-3 times a year as my mother was born there. By the railway crossing at Marsh court next to the thatched white cottage my father would put a stone on the track to make a train come, this was magic to me I was about 6 years old. I have been back there over the years and wish I had some photos of trains going past the crossing. Would anyone have a photo? I have been looking on and off for fifty odd years! Thank you

The station house was my home, and we could climb out of our front room window on to the down line platform to Andover.

Does anyone have any historical information about the Hinxman's of Stockbridge. Have been doing some research into my father's maternal side and have discoverd that at one time they lived in Stockbridge (as well as West Dean, Kings Somborne and other areas around Hampshire ans Wiltshire etc). My grandfather and grandmother, Mr William Edward Massey known as (Bill) and Rose Massey, with Jack and Ruth Massey lived at Station House, Stockbridge Station. Does anybody remember the above and have any pictures of the Station, including the Signal Box, Railway Bridge etc? Kind Regards Lee.....
