St Ives, Tregenna Castle Hotel 1890

More about this scene
Tregenna Castle was built as a house for John Stephens in 1774 to the designs of John Wood the younger, the well- known architect of Georgian Bath. It stands above the town, and has staggering views over the Bay, so it is little wonder that the Great Western Railway turned it into a hotel.
