Schooldays

A Memory of Solihull.

I attended Malvern Hall or Solihull High School for Girls as it was known at the time from 1962-1967. I loved the old part of the school and the imposing staircase which I never got to use as I left after my 'O' levels and it was for staff and sixth formers only. I also have an abiding memory of the cellars, which were strictly out of bounds of course! Happy days spent in wonderful surroundings.

Same years as me. Spent many hours in the grounds, walking through breaktimes. Do you remember the huge monkey puzzle trees. The cellars were out of bounds but a warm place to go in the winter as long as the caretaker wasn't around. We went down them to smoke cigarettes, not realising the smoke had gone straight up and into the staff room. Do you have any memories of running across to the outdoor pool for swimming lessons.
