Shepton Mallet, High Street 1899

More about this scene
The High Street approaches the Market Place from the south, slightly downhill beyond the crossroads in the middle distance. The west side of the Market Place is in the distance. Most of the houses have Georgian and early 19th-century fronts of harmonious proportions and scale, although there is a grander later Victorian bank building at the crossroads.
