More about this scene
When this market hall was built a number of houses, shops and even a church were demolished to make way for it. There has been a great deal of concern locally following the severe decline of old Runcorn that resulted from all the investment in the new town development around Halton Lea. Today this market has also gone but the site is now part of a new local multi-million pound regeneration scheme, including a new market hall.
