More about this scene
This is a view that Edward Geoffrey Stanley's statue enjoyed from the Derby Terrace. The bridge is the railway bridge over the River Ribble, and we can see the far bank clearly. Nearer to the camera is the fountain with four figures round the base that represent Earth, Air, Water and Fire, and we can see some of the classic urns which graced the steps and surrounds.
