More about this scene
Jolesfield smock windmill was built in 1788 and ceased work in 1928. It was dismantled in 1959 and the parts were taken to County Oak, near Gatwick Airport, but have not been reassembled. The tarred octagonal single-storey brick base remains on site and is used as a storage building.
