The nearest tall building on the left is the Skin Clinic, originally the Turkish Baths, and beyond it is the News Theatre. This was opened in 1914 as the Regal Cinema and converted into the News Theatre in 1935. In 1956, it was renamed the Odd Hour Cinema before closing in 1957.
