More about this scene
Built in 1947, the Bristol Queen was considered to be the ultimate in paddle steamer design, and was never to be replaced. She made regular trips up and down the Bristol Channel in the early 1960s, but she was damaged in 1967, and it was considered uneconomical to repair her.
