More about this scene
Children from the rather plain terraced houses have been given the job of taking the baby out for a pram ride. These buildings are in complete contrast to the home of Lord Hasting; the Hall has been a seat of the Astleys for centuries. The house is built of Norfolk brick with stone dressings, and is a fine example of Stuart design.
