More about this scene
When the Flitch ceremony still took place in Little Dunmow, successful claimants were paraded through the village in the Flitch Chair. The ceremonial bacon itself was carried in front, on a pole. Little Dunmow`s pub, itself named The Flitch of Bacon, is the last building visible here in the distance.
