More about this scene
The village's mid-Victorian Baptist chapel stands close to the 13th-century church of St Peter and St Paul. Picture postcard thatched cottages built of local stone mix pleasantly with Georgian and Victorian villas in this well-kept village. The original home of Ruddles Brewery, and a regular meeting-place of the Cottesmore Hunt, it remains delightful and interesting.
