Does any one remember the shop that sold used electricals in Hounslow in the 60/70s , I think it was on treaty rd ? It was run by my dads friend Peter whittle... ? This was where I bought my 1st record player and records ....

does anyone remeber jennys cafe ? It was in Martindale Road, opposite the infant and junior schools. There were a row of about 6 cottages in a terrace and jennys was on the end. There was also a hardwear shop and a drapery shop which was called Margarets, and the a sweet shop at the other end.My parents Jim and Jenny Clements owned the cafe and i worked there as well. I remember Hounslow I was bout three years old my grandad worked for the Weston bakery
I think that's what it was called just past Hounslow hospital , he delivered bread by horse and cart
round the roads , his name was Henry whitehead .I remember platts store old woolworths at
the end of the high street it was called the six pence shop. I also worked in Peters pet shop ,and then

One of my teachers was Mrs balls ,my friends where Maureen Oliver Margaret twining ,
Mavis Bowden .the headmistress was Mrs Collins also there was a teacher called Miss Hull

Although I lived in Southall I have many memories of Hounslow. I was wondering if anyone knew of a Peter Edward Goodall who lived in Bulstrode Road in the 1960's and possibly later than that. Any information would be great. I live in Jersey Channel Islands now and don't get back very often.

Please can anyone tell me the name of the park down Martindale Road, where there was, a children's park, once a park keeper, bowls and tennis courts. My family lived in Martindale Road for almost ever !!!!! I had lots of stays and the park was a sort of playground. So many happy memories of that area.
I used to live in Hinton Avenue, off Barrack Road. I went to school in Martindale Road initially and then onwards to he Junior School in Cambridge Road leaving in 1961. Mr Such was headmaster, Mrs Wilson was my first teacher here, followed by Miss Elborn, Mr Gilbert and Mrs Peck. Does anyone remember "The Beatles" filming a segment for the film "A Hard Days Night" on Thornbury playing fields Hounslow in 1964? The surrounding streets were full of fans...........Were you one of them? It is now of course Stanborough road and the spot where the "Beatles filmed is now a children's play area.
