More about this scene
East Street, recorded from 1457, contains some early buildings. On the far left (displaying the RAC sign) is the Kings Head Hotel, which was in existence by 1669; the main entrance to this former coaching inn was in the Carfax. It was improved in the late 18th century, and had become the principal inn at Horsham by the 1830s.
