More about this scene
The thatched 17th-century King's Head pub still stands on the left, and the re-fronted Red Lion Hotel is still in the centre of the Bull Ring. Clark's of Retford next door have been replaced by Mellor's, a local butcher. R L Kisby and the Trustee Savings Bank (right) have gone, and Mills the newsagents have taken their place. The newsagent who was next door has in turn been replaced by Le Strange Emporium, who claim to have 'the largest permanent art exhibition in Lincolnshire'. C Crew (centre right), a gift and toyshop, has now become Horncastle Furnishers.
