More about this scene

Highcliffe is the most easterly parish in Dorset, famous for eroding cliffs and splendid views across to the Isle of Wight. The 1950s were the last profitable heyday of the small and diverse local shop, before the supermarkets changed British shopping habits for ever. Lymington Road at this period had a wide selection of different traders to satisfy local demand.
