A Memory of Helsby.

Does anybody know where the Old Hall was in Helsby in 1911? My great aunt, Eva Jane Wharton worked there, it was in Helsby, not Frodsham.

Hi Janet - I used to own the Old Hall in Vicarage Lane, Helsby for 30 years and have lots of information. Didn’t know about Great Aunt Eva of course so very interesting

I believe this was the seat of the ancient Hellesby family. Destroyed by fire (1700s?), the old brick chimney stacks remain from the earlier building. Does this agree with Mr Symes information?
