This is the more subdued face of the Heath the shot is not packed with action. The ponds have for many years been used for swimming, fishing and sailing model craft. The area is much grown up now, and a fine wildlife preserve.

I was born in Hampstead in 1949 and lived with my parents in Wells House, Well Walk. It was a very happy period in my life. I attended New End Primary school and my Mum worked in New End Hospital
My Dad use to take me to Whitestone Pond to sail my toy yacht and often in the Summer we would walk to Kenwood across Hampstead Heath to play cricket.

I wonder if any remember the Bull and Bush 1960's Recall Steve Barr , Johnny Page Waldemar Hasko Trevor Deacon , Barmaids Carmel and Duffy . Also Girls Sandra who married Graham, Gaynor ,Jette and others.
Would particularly like to hear from Carmel and , Sandra as I have news re Steve and Val. Also danish girl Jette from Denmark who was an au pair in Finchley. Cherished memories

Anderson & Dunlop were vile. Scrubbing the floors until they were gleeming. We used to do that when we got home from school. Cleaning the bathroom.
