More about this scene
On the left we can see Baker's clock, near to their shop; they were well-known clock and watch makers. Two doors down is the Old Blue Shop (which eventually became a tea warehouse) which was painted bright blue. A host of street lamps, which were erected in late 1890, chase their way down the road. The closest is the lamp outside Frederick Wright's County Cigar Store. He supplied the Prince of Wales with Ariston cigarettes. Opposite is the Corn Exchange.
