Hello my name Lisa Hall, im looking for anyone who would of known my grandparents, dad & uncle, my dad's name is Mick Richardson mum was Ann, dad Albert & brother Paul Richardson. My dad was born there in 1948 ? would love to hear from anyone who remembers them ? thank you X
I moved from Leeds to Garstang in 1958 and went to Garstang Secondary Modern School (now Garstang Academy). we lived on a static caravan park behind what was a very large transport cafe called The Mayfield (now The Crofters Hotel). We moved from Preston to Garstang in 1960. My sister and I aged 12 and 13, used to cycle all the lanes around Garstang, the Fylde, the Trough of Bowland etc. Once, when we cycled through this ford, my sister who was ahead whizzed through with feet up near the handlebars, creating a bow wave like a curtain of water.
